This is a vintage 40"x28" promotional poster ("U.S. TV") for the 1979
debut
album
White Music
by XTC on Virgin Records. This large, very scarce British in-store promo poster was created and sent out to UK record shops by Virgin in 1978 to promote the album. The poster was quickly altered and never reprinted due to the unlicensed images from U.S. TV shows that are seen around the borders (Fonzie from
Happy Days
, Hutch from
Starsky & Hutch,
et al).
This item was originally folded; it has been stored rolled for most of its 40+ years. It is in Very Good Plus condition, with tackholes in all corners and minimal creasing from wear.
