    Description

    Offered for eBay:
    Ho-Chunk (Winnebago) Native American single swing carved handle, round top, square base basket. Basket is signed and dated Aug. 24 1937 on underside of base. Two names, Winnebago and Wisc. Dells. also on bottom.
    Basket measures approx. 12" to top of swing handle, basket height is 7". Bottom base measures 5.5" square. Round top is approx. 8.5" in diameter.
    Several broken weft (
    horizontal
    ) splints. No broken warp (
    vertical
    ) splints that I could see.
    Basket is tight and secure.

    Color dyed splints are faded and lighter in color than they appear on my monitor.
    Good, gently used condition.
