Vintage Nootka Tribal Super Fine Woven Cabinet / Treasure basket With Lid- Bird design
This is a vintage 1940/50's NUU-CHAH-NULTH (Nootka) Indian super fine woven
cabinet / treasure
basket with a
lid. This piece is made with bear grass and a cedar start.This native basket has a twinned
polychrome and bird design going around the basket as well as on the lid. This basket is approximately
1 3/4" tall by 2 3/8" in diameter.
Info: Nootka - One of the first Indigenous peoples of the Pacific Northwest Coast in Canada.
This item is previously owned. This basket has light fading, slightly out of shape, fraying to the inside, and some ware.
