    Description

This is a beautiful Alaskan native woven lidded basket.  The owner acquired this piece when he lived in Alaska in the 1960's.  He can't remember who made it but would guess the Yupik natives.  This piece has woven designs of animals and bugs.  Looking inside the basket of the color of the weaving and then on the outside there is considerable fading.  Some of the animals were red now appear as a light salmon others a dark blue are a darker tan and those that were brown are a light tan.  It stands 10 inches and the opening is 6 inches in diameter.  It is an interesting piece and a nice one to add to any collection!  I also have a bowl I will be listing so if you are interested in both pieces add each to your cart and then check out so I can combine shipping.  I would then refund any over payment.  Thanks for looking and be sure to check out my shop, not2shabbyshop, for more vintage finds!
