    Description

    On offer is a vintage, large flat tray, coiled basket in the style of Native Americans.  Found in the Northwest Coast in the 1970's the basket is about 17" across with upward turned outer edges.  Made of coiled bunches of grass with slash and pyramid decorations of purple and green quite visible on the back but faded on the  front. Condition is quite nice with tight coils reduced in size toward the middle. An exceptional example of this style of basket. Possibly Papago ?
