    THE BREED
Cream Legbars are the world's most popular auto-sexing breed! They are calm, friendly birds. The gentlemen tend to be good flock protectors and courteous eaters. The ladies are charming in their sweet feather crests and are high producers of delicate sky-blue to light green eggs. Their auto-sexing ability is awfully convenient for those who simply must know the sex of their chicks at hatch. Males are light-colored with a blonde head spot, females have a dark chipmunk stripe down the back and dark eyeliner. This breed is well-known for their excellent foraging skills. If allowed, they will happily hunt down every delicious bug, plant and grain that they can in your yard, increasing their nutritional intake while reducing their feed consumption. Even though they love free ranging, they can also do well in pastured pens or coops and runs. These medium-sized birds can produce up to 260 large colored eggs a year. We highly recommend this breed for their uniquely good looks, dual purpose practicality and easy-going personalities.
    CREAM LEGBARS IN AMERICA
All Cream Legbars in the United States were imported by Greenfire Farms. In 2010, they brought in two breeding groups, then a year later imported additional Cream Legbars with complementary traits. The birds were generally robust layers of blue eggs, but their coloration contained more gold and chestnut color than is called for in the British standard, they currently sell chicks from these flocks as "Production Legbars."
In 2013 and again in 2016, Greenfire imported Cream Legbars from Jill Rees, a top CL breeder in the UK whose line has significantly less chestnut color than Greenfire's Production line, and whose show wins include first and second place at the National Poultry Show of Great Britain. This line is know for producing birds with superior in conformation to the accepted standards for Cream Legbars. It is also known for producing eggs with a greenish tint.
    OUR BIRDS
Our Cream Legbars are a mix of all imports - A, B and Rees - for maximum genetic diversity. At Granger Farm, our top priorities in breeding are excellent health, hardiness, and longevity; high production of eggs and good provision of meat; and raising friendly and beautiful birds that are a pleasure to own for your suburban flock, homestead or small farm.
    WHY WE LOVE THEM
Cream Legbars are so amiable and sociable. They get along well with each other, with other breeds and with their people keepers. And of course, we love our daily collection of their exquisite eggs in delicate blue and green shades.
    ABOUT GRANGER FARM
Robert and Lisa Granger own and run the Granger Farm, a small family affair located on 14 bucolic acres in Granbury, Texas.
Robert, recently retired from cattle ranching, is a mechanical engineer at a nuclear power plant. He's always loved keeping animals, working on house projects and puttering around his place. He had chickens growing up and decided to keep them again, this time with a focus on some unique rare breeds.
Lisa is retired and devotes her time to the farm and her many hobbies and interests. Gardening, making jellies and jams from their peaches, boysenberries and grapes. She maintains a stained glass studio in their home and loves to immerse herself in the world of creating with glass.
Together, they have a blended family of six children and twelve grandchildren, who are their pride and joy.
With their rare breed flocks, their goals include producing the healthiest, hardiest birds that can both lay well and provide meat for the table; are beautiful to see roaming about the yard; and are family-friendly with pleasant personalities and non-aggressive roos.
Besides chickens, the Grangers keep bees, love to garden, and are always working on something! Robert's current project is a new well house/man cave/incubation station which so far has involved a lot of welding and flipping big, heavy things over with his tractor.
    SHIPPING TERMS AND CONDITIONS
We used to ship on Mondays or Tuesdays only so your eggs would reach you by the weekend. However, due to virus-related delays, that is currently no guarantee your items will reach you before the weekend. Therefore, our current policy is to ship your order as soon as we can after it is placed unless you instruct us otherwise in a message sent WITH your order.
Our fertile hatching eggs are carefully and individually wrapped, given plenty of padding, and shipped by USPS Priority Mail with air cells up. All deliveries are held for pickup at your local post office provided you message us your telephone number at the time you place your order. Otherwise, they will be delivered straight to your address. IF YOU MESSAGE US YOUR TELEPHONE NUMBER WHEN PLACING YOUR ORDER, your eggs will be held at the post office to spare them any additional bouncing, jarring, rough handling, and inhospitable temperatures they might experience on an hours-long local delivery truck route. IF WE DO NOT RECEIVE YOUR TELEPHONE NUMBER BY MESSAGE AT THE TIME YOU PLACE YOUR ORDER, your eggs will be delivered directly to your address.
We make every effort to ensure your eggs arrive safely and in good condition, however, we have no control of them once they leave our possession. By purchasing our fertile hatching eggs, you understand and accept that we cannot guarantee how our eggs will be treated in transit through the postal system nor can we guarantee delivery within a specified time after we ship the eggs (USPS is responsible for delivery - if they fail in that regard, you may file a claim with them). Extreme temperatures, travel and flight-related air pressure changes, rough handling, delays in transit and delivery, x-ray machines and other factors can all affect the hatchability of eggs. We have no control over these factors. We also have no control of the conditions under which you incubate your eggs. FOR THESE REASONS WE DO NOT GUARANTEE HATCHABILITY. If you do not accept these terms and conditions, do not purchase this item.
    RETURN & REFUND POLICY
We stand behind our products and service and guarantee that your order will arrive intact. We pad and pack carefully. In order for this guarantee to be in effect, you must:
    1. PICK UP AT THE POST OFFICE and make sure the box is in good condition (if box is smashed, punctured or damaged in any way, you will need to file a claim with the post office - we will be happy to assist you if necessary).
    2. OPEN AND INSPECT THE CONTENTS AT THE POST OFFICE as we cannot be liable for any damage once the eggs are removed from the premises. If you receive fewer unbroken eggs than you ordered, contact us IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING YOUR INSPECTION, including picture(s) at the post office of the box(es) and all damaged eggs.
We will promptly refund you the cost of any damaged eggs (not including shipping charges).
    REVIEWS
For hatching eggs, it is protocol to leave a review (if you wish to do so) upon receipt of your eggs, based on seller meeting conditions of the sale. That is, providing, packing and padding the goods purchased in such a manner that they arrive safely, barring any mishandling in transit. Box damage and other handling issues that are the responsibility of USPS should not be held against the seller, and we will happily assist you in resolving that type of issue if it occurs. Please reach out to us if you have any concerns with our product or service as we are customer-focused and want every transaction to be a win-win for buyer and seller. Thank you!
