    Beautiful Coiled Basket with Double Star Design by Papago Artist Geri Enriquez.
    This
    unused basket
    had been in a
    dealer's showcase in Gallup for at least 10 years
    before we bought his collection about 20 years ago.It is
    very tightly coiled
    with a
    double star design and crossed rim design in black Devil's Claw
    . It measures
    5 7/8" in diameter with a slightly flared rim
    and is in excellent condition.
    The Papago or Tohono O'odham Indians live southwest of Tucson, AZ.
