Kanjur (tib.) is the name for the “translation of the Verkündigung of the Buddha”. Those are generally speaking 92 books with 1055 texts, which were translated from the Sanskrit original into the Tibetan. The Tenjur, that are the “translations of the theory of the Buddhas and the pertinent comments” seizes 224 books with 3626 texts. Both together form the canons of the Tibetan Buddhismus to be retraced can. The Brahmi writing again descends from the eastern aramäischen writing. Many other Indian languages use other writings from the Brahmi family. The name Devanagari comes from the Sanskrit words Deva (= " Gott"), and Nagari (= " Stadt"). Together they, literally translated, mean " City of the Götter". That refers to the legend that the writing in such a city was used. Philosophy behind it is that if one meditiert to a sound of the Devanagari alphabet, the written form spontaneously into the sense comes.
