    QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
    HOW DOES THE TEST WORK?
This test detects hCG (human Chorionic Gonadotropin), a hormone present in urine once you become pregnant.
WHEN CAN I USE THE TEST?
The test can be used any time of day and as early as the first day of the missed period.
If you are pregnant, the first-morning urine contains the most hormone.
HOW WILL I KNOW THE TEST WORKED?
There must be a formation of a single line in the Control Window. The appearance of this line in the Control Window tells you that you followed the test procedure properly and the proper amount of urine was absorbed. If after 3-4 minutes you do not see a line in the Control Window, then the test did not work properly. (Please refer to INVALID RESULT.) If the Control Line is not visible in the Control Window, you should repeat the test. If there are two vertical lines (one in the Result Window and one in the Control Window), you have a positive test, and you can assume you are pregnant.
WHAT MIGHT AFFECT THE ACCURACY OF THE RESULT?
If testing before your expected period, the test accuracy will be lower.
Following test procedure incorrectly, including specified sample time, not keeping the Absorbent Tip pointing down, and expiration
of the test are causes of an invalid result.
If you repeatedly get unexpected results, you should check with your healthcare professional.
ARE THERE ANY FACTORS THAT CAN AFFECT THE TEST RESULT?
Always read the manufacturer’s instructions for any medication you are taking before taking the test.
Fertility drugs containing hCG (such as A.P.L.®, Pregnyl®, and Profasi®), can affect the result.
Other fertility therapies (such as Clomid® or Serophene®), alchl, analgesics (pain relievers), antibiotics, birth control pills should not affect the result.
Certain rare medical conditions such as an ovarian cyst or an ectopic pregnancy (a pregnancy outside of the uterus) can give misleading results.
The test may give a false positive result if you have had a miscarriage or have given birth within the past 8 weeks. This is because the test may detect hCG still in your system from a previous pregnancy. You should ask your doctor for help in interpreting the result of your test if you have recently been pregnant.
If you do get unexpected results you should discuss them with your doctor.
