Description
Beautiful small white oak Cherokee basket by Carol Welch, labeled planter. Walnut and bloodroot dyes were used. Accompanied by certified tag from Qualla Arts and Crafts Mutual, Inc., of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians. The artist (born 1940) learned basket weaving from her mother, aunt, and mother-in-law, Agnes Welch. 6.5" high; 6.25" rim diameter; 5" square bottom.
