Ralph Steadman Wine Labels: CARDINAL ZIN, 1995 & 1996 (empty bottles)

Description

This is the famous artwork of Ralph Steadman for Randall Grahm's Bonny Doon vintage, first vinted in 1995.  The image of the Cardinal was subsequently used for posters and t-shirts.  The bottles in the photographs are unopened, but I can only ship the empty bottles. (Nevertheless, I could make the unopened bottles available for local pickup.)  These labels are very scarce --- the first two years of the Cardinal Zin vintage.  You probably wouldn't want to drink the wine anyway, since Zinfandel typically does not benefit from prolonged aging.   The labels are fine.
The printed rear label, in Steadman's hand:  "It is a Cardinal Zin to be inordinately proud of this wildly spicy, full bodied paean to little red fruit, the envy of those who try, and fail.  We anticipate it's greedy acquisition by consumers lusting for a complete gluttonous, sorry, that supersonic gastronomic experience.  This wine will complement all manner of game and other wild beasts, including sloth.  Yr. R Ranger"
