Up for auction is an intriguing volume titled:
The Book of Common Prayer and administrations of the Sacraments and other Rites and Ceremonies of the Church , according to the use of The Church of England together with Psalter or Psalms of David.

, Printed By John Archdeacon, and John Burges, Printers of The University; and Sold By Dilly , F & C. Rivington and R. & J. White, in London ; and J&J Merrell in Cambridge. 1794.
Condition is acceptable / good. Bound in a soft suede leather front hinge weak, text block still bound soundly with slight age toning. Measures “5 x 8 “. approx 300pp. What makes this particular copy special is the beautiful name plate on the cover. The name of
” Elizabeth Milne”
and the year 1799 in gold gilt surrounded by decoration on a red background. I am not positive more research would be needed but she may be the wife of Rev. ALEXANDER MILNE  of Scotland.

Sacred to the memory of theRev ALEXANDER MILNE who was for 44 years, Minister of this parish  Died Feb 1830 and is buried near here;And also of the memory of his wife ELISABETH MILNE died 1817. She was the daughter of Alexander Milne, Laird of Chapelton and his wife Margaret Anderson, granddaughter of Isobel duff, sister of Lord Fife who inspired the architect William Adam to build the mansion of Duff House near Banff; Also to the memory of ALEXANDER MILNE
Companion of the Bath Died in London 3rd April 1861.
