    Description

    Varda Diena postcard to Riga with Sc 103 machine cancelled Riga 14.II.23 and with a Riga 2 receiving cancel. Postage stamps were switched from Rubels to Santimi in August 1922. The old Rubel stamps were still valid with the Santimi value figured at twice the Rubel denomination. This is a late use of a Rubel stamp. There is some corner and edge wear and the card shows its age. If you are bidding on multiple items please wait for my invoice and I will combine the postage and save you money.
