Our FBK-250 fan kit is designed to fit a number of popular Astria, Lennox and Superior gas and wood fireplaces. Please see compatibility list below to confirm fitment.  If you don't see your model listed, please contact us directly with your fireplace's make and model.
The FBK-250 is a variable speed ball bearing blower kit that includes a rheostat variable speed controller and automatic thermostat. The kit includes a galvanized steel mounting bracket, which also includes integrated noise reduction padding to prevent metal on metal contact.  The FBK-250 kit is designed for home setups that lack a designated wall switch for the blower, so if you don't have a switch specifically allocated to control the electrical outlet the blower plugs into, you'll need the FBK-250 kit.  Rather than manually controlling when the blower turns on, the FBK-250's thermostat will automatically turn the blower on and off at set temperatures.
If a designated wall switch is already installed, the FBK-100, FBK-200 and FBK-250 can all be used. However, if no wall switch is installed, please note that the FBK-250 must be used.
Unlike most of our competitors who use inferior sleeve bearing assemblies, our blowers use much higher quality ball bearings. Ball bearing blowers last longer and operate more efficiently than their sleeve bearing counterparts. Additionally, ball bearings reduce shaft end play and provide a much smoother, more quiet and longer lasting blower assembly. Don't be fooled by our competitor's cheaper prices and ball bearing claims.
Another feature we've added to all of our FBK kits is a galvanized mounting bracket. Over time, common steel brackets have a tendency to rust. Our galvanized brackets are treated with a zinc protective coating to inhibit rust and ensure your blower's bracket continues to look and function like the day you purchased it.
