This second edition of the Evolution of the Collie is a substantially more comprehensive Collie history book than the earlier 1962 edition.
In the second edition Trudy Mangels included an additional 130+ pages in the book and, she included additional Collie photographs.
Trudy Mangels was the outstanding breeder and exhibitor of Brandwyne Collies.
This book features numerous photographs of historic and top winning Collies, including Collies of Bellhaven, Seedley, Sterling, Parbold, Honeybrook, Hertzville, Tokalon, Parader, Kasan, Glen Hill, Norenda, St. Adrian, Stoneykirk, Brandwyne, Impromptu, as well as many others.
There is also a wonderful tribute to Albert Payson Terhune of Sunnybank fame.
Virginia Holtz, Cul Mor, contributed the special section of the book on the Smooth Collie.
