    Description

    Very skillful design and craft created this beautiful, large sized,  collectible  basket, it was sold to me as Chitamacha, possibly Choctaw. I’m not sure, but am guessing this basket is probably 50- 70 years old. Possibly older.  It shows beautifully on a mantel or shelf. The areas of water are not noticable when used as a decorative piece. Note the areas of wear in the photos. All for corners on the bottom have wear. The biggest is about 1 1/2 inch long , more narrow, again, when the basket is placed as a decorative item, it’s easy to turn it so those areas do not show. There is also minor damage in a few areas along the rim. I tried to show all areas in photos. The colors on one side are slightly lighter than the other side. I’m guessing this is from sun.
    This is a beautiful collector piece. The artist is unknown.
    Shipping is a little high as the basket is quite large.
