Second edition. This is a photographic color reproduction of the Notebook of Catherine Nicoll (1891-1953), wife of Dr Maurice Nicoll. The only date in it is 1942, when World War II was at its height and there was the risk that these Ideas would become forgotten. Notes may be from up to 1953. The notes go possibly back to 1922 when Catherine and Maurice went to study with G.I.Gurdjieff at the Prieuré near Fontainebleau in France. After about a year they returned to England and studied with P.D.Ouspensky until 1931 when Ouspensky told Maurice Nicoll to "go away and teach." Many of the notes in the Notebook go back to this time but also up to 1953. Some of the notes are preparation for the groups Catherine was teaching. Hardbound in new condition.
