If you have replaced doors or windows at your property and lost the magnet for your wireless door window contacts this is the correct replacement magnet.
This magnets is ideal for venting a window that is protected by all  wireless window sensor. Typical window sensors protect a window only when it is fully closed. However, some people like to protect their windows even when they are open just a few inches to allow some airflow. The only way to accomplish this is to add a second magnet. If you install the  wireless window sensor 3-6” from the bottom corner of your window, then you can install one magnet at the bottom corner of the window and a second magnet the same 3-6” up from the bottom corner. Once installed, the window is protected in both positions (fully closed and opened 3-6”). As the 5816 wireless window sensor only includes (1) magnet, you will need to buy extra  magnets to vent your windows.
