We purchased a gorgeous Indio Gigante rooster and set him up with three pure malay hens. This highly desirable cross is of the largest and the tallest breeds of chickens. Malay are one of the largest breed of chickens with roosters standing close to 3' and weighing 11-16 pounds. Many consider them the most intelligent breed, definitely interesting, alert, athletic, and cold hardy. The Indio Gigante is considered the tallest breed with roosters getting over 4' long though not heavy and broad. This cross however brings the best of the two breeds together with a healthy dose of hybrid vigor and has the face of something pre-historic! Neither breed is aggressive to humans, actually can be nicely interactive.
The first four eggs from this pairing hatched strong on day 21, and nearly every egg since! Seems these are easy hatchers! Even feedback from ebay egg buyers has been several 100% hatches! Every egg has been fertile, so we are offering eggs and chicks from this unique cross!  Eggs ship safely packaged, 0-3 days after laid to ensure freshness. Orders will be shipped as available on Monday or Tuesday.

We do not sell one-three day old chicks to ensure chicks are hardy and beyond hatching stresses. We immediately sold out of our initial hatches, but are caught up with small groups hatching weekly so please inquire again if the wait list was too long before. We ship chicks thru June, unless you can do local pick-up in NW corner of Ohio. UPDATE....we still have a few chicks available for local pick-up.

Please Note These Terms...shipping can be hard on hatchability and is 100% buyer's risk; Priority Mail says 2-5 days but is not a guaranteed service...local pick-up is best and free! No returns, no refunds, no replacements. Each shipment is insured for for the buyer's protection, but if something happens or is delayed, buyer must file the claim with USPS and accept the outcome. Please do not bid or buy eggs if these terms are not acceptable. You will receive a tracking number upon shipping...follow it and raise concerns with your Post Office to locate your package and avoid delay. Delays kill eggs.
USPS now requires us to include SPECIAL HANDLING tag #875 for an additional .35 on any egg or chick shipment.... this not a guaranteed service, but buyers say it is definitely worth it when buying chicks or hatching eggs, and is included with the free shipping. You can request USPS Priority Express for 1 day shipping that is a guaranteed service, usually + or -  depending on your zip from 43545, just let us know at time of order if you would like express shipping service added. We are also set up with UPS and their 3-day ground service has proven very reliable, still covered with this free shipping listing.
