    Description

Lovely Papago Yucca/ Bear grass Basket with matching lid created in the 1970's.  Has a nice patina and is in mint condition.  From my personal collection.  The basket has been created using stripped Yucca.
Each piece is a one of a kind piece of art.  Complete with a woven yucca handle at the top.
Measures approximately 3  1/8" tall.  Measures 19  1/4" in circumference (All around the widest part of the basket).  The opening measures approximately 3  5/8" across.  Tightly woven.  Mint condition with no breakage in the weaving.  The gathering of the yucca, the stripping of the yucca to the correct size and the weaving is a very slow process and takes much skill.                      We have been dealing in Native American Indian Arts & Crafts for 30 years. We have now retired and are in the process of selling our personal collection and extensive inventory of authentic handmade jewelry, northern tribes beadwork, baskets, rugs and miscellaneous items. We will be listing each week, so please add us to your favorites page.
