Antique/Vintage Pine Needle Beaded Woven Basket w/ Lid

I found this small Beaded Basket at a local estate sale. The sale was full of Indigenous Art and Artifacts. I do not know anything about this piece, except that I like it and know that it is "something" worth having, if you collect this kind of art. I will do my very best to describe this piece and please check out the pictures. They will tell you probably more than I can. With all that said...here goes:
The piece is a lidded basket, woven with pine needles and then covered with iridescent multi-colored glass beads. The body is mostly red with the decorations done in blue and gold beads. For decorations, there are 2 whales on opposite sides and 2 crossing stems of flowers. The lid and around the body near the lid are geometric designs of flowers. The bottom of the basket is also beaded in a pointed geometric design. The lid itself has a "button" shaped handle. I tried to take a picture of the inside of the basket to show the weaving, but they all turned out darker than I would have liked. Believe me...it is beautifully woven. The picture of the back of the lid gives you an idea of the craftsmanship. Without the lid, the basket stands approximately 2 1/2 inches high and is, again, approximately 3 1/4 inches across. The lid will add another 3/4 inches to the height of the piece.  I do not see any missing beads and the piece is in very good vintage shape with no visible damage.  Please please please ask questions prior to bidding!  I will do my best to answer fairly and honestly.
