Antique Primitive Basket 11 ¾” Tall

This basket is being offered for sale in antique “as is” condition.
Please note it is impossible to list each imperfection on the basket. I have carefully taken the photos from all angles to expand upon the description and condition of the basket.

The basket is approximately 11 ¾” tall and the approximate diameter is about 12” at its widest point. The diameter of the base/bottom of the basket is about 10 ½ inches. The diameter of the top opening of the basket is about 8 inches.
Please review the photos of the basket carefully and note that the basket is not perfectly shaped and instead irregular.
There are some scattered imperfections and breaks in the weave of the basket. As pictured, the area along the base of the basket is completely detached in one section and the remaining section shows some breaks/loose ends in the wicker-like material. There is a cardboard lining inside the basket. (I’m assuming it was not original but appears to have been there for a long time). This cardboard makes the basket appear very sturdy, in fact I have had the basket in my family room for about 14 years and never knew that the underneath of the basket was comprised, weak or broken. I can tell you when I moved it around to dust and placed it back down- small remnants/flakes of the basket were always left behind. Prior to me owning it, it belonged to my mom who collected antiques. I am not certain of its age or origin but it strikes me as a very early piece.
