A Japanese Noh drama book printed in 1840. (Tenpo 10). See the second to last photo for the date.
Also listed after the date is this was printed in a "Metal / Rat" year.  The is in the Chinese / Japanese 60 year cycle (five elements and 12 zodiac signs)
Especially for it's age this is in great condition. The binding is there (but sometimes loose) And the pages are in good condition. There is some insect damage. A common problem with older Japanese books. The paper is made from natural materials (washi) and insects as a general rule are a long term problem. Most of the pages are in perfect condition.
There are five Noh dramas in the book. .
