    Description

Handmade Papago Tohono O'odham Native American Indian Coiled Plaque, Plate or Trivet.
The Tohono O'odham - Papago lived in the area of the Sonoran Desert in southern Arizona. They mostly used beargrass as a foundation of their baskets. Beargrass is coarse therefore making the baskets less supple.
This handwoven item probably was created from 1950-1970. This item lays flat, no curvature, see the last picture.
Please remember that this is a vintage item that has had a previous life. It will have some signs of use and wear. I have taken many pictures for your observation to condition. Picture #2 is the reverse side of picture #1 the rest of the pictures are at random. Both sides are basically the same great condition.  Please look at them carefully as they become part of the description. While photographed in natural light but colors will vary from monitor to monitor.
Your item will be shipped within 1 day of confirmed payment.
Thank you for looking and considering this awesome collectors piece.
