You are purchasing exactly (
6
) hatching eggs from my flock of show-quality paint silkies. This unique pairing not only produces traditional
black
paints, but the beautiful and rare
blue
paint variety as well! I have paint hens over a blue rooster and white sizzle cockerel, so you may also hatch frizzles, sizzles, and satins as well. Most, if not all, chicks hatch with beautiful vaulted skulls. The eggs will be shipped in foam, unwashed to preserve their natural bloom, and are no more than 2 days old when shipped.
* Paint pairings do not breed true, and typically result in 1/2 paint chicks with the remaining 1/2 hatching black, blue or white. Your actually ratio may vary depending on the size of the hatch. I have 8 hens and 3 roosters, with fertility near 100% in
local
hatches *
Shipping:
Eggs are packed in 6-hole foam egg shippers with yellow FRAGILE stickers, see last photo. Insurance is automatically included with every order, and a claim may be filed by the buyer through USPS (up to ) or Fedex (up to 0) in the unlikely event of broken eggs upon delivery. Shipping fees are automatically calculated by eBay based on your location, and can be combined if purchasing multiple items. Eggs can be shipped via USPS Priority Mail or Fedex 2-day, so please pay according to your preference at checkout. eBay's delivery estimate is not accurate, most orders ship out the same week payment is received unless there are multiple orders in front of you (current wait around 1 week). Eggs are shipped in the order they are paid, so please message me if you need your order shipped in a specific timeframe.
Fertility:
All breeds are test-hatched weekly to monitor fertility and hatch-ability. A minimum of 2 roosters are kept in each pen to insure consistent fertility. While every egg will be
fresh
and fertile when shipped, I
cannot
guarantee each egg will develop and hatch due to their fragile nature.
Eggs that never develop do not mean they were infertile! There are many things that can prevent a viable egg from developing, most of which are caused by trauma during shipping (scrambling, rolling air cells, x-rays, etc).
