These OEM Potentiometers typically last 7 to 10 years when new, anyone telling you anything different is not up to speed on these, there is absolutely nothing special about knowing how to change these out if you are familiar with soldering electrical boards. Simple for the novice technician.
If you are having trouble with the controls on your Harman pellet stove such as dead spots causing
erratic distribution blower control, auger instability control, or temperature control it is very likely you have a malfunction of these potentiometers as they are quite often the part that fails on the Harman pellet stove. I have repaired many stoves and have saved myself and others 100+ dollars per stove with these potentiometers. These are used universally, are NOT aftermarket parts, and are used throughout the different models of Harman stoves both new and old.  Simply, unplug the stove from your outlet, remove control knobs, disconnect the wiring on the board, pop off the control board from the stove stand-offs, remove potentiometers with soldering iron, remove the control shaft by popping them out of the old potentiometers, re-solder new potentiometers in and re-install. It is not rocket science and literally takes about 30 to 45 minutes to do. I typically change all pots at once to insure a finished product when complete. I have sold these items for several years and have received feedback with many success stories. I guarantee, if you have the Harman stove, you will eventually find yourself looking for these items for a quick and inexpensive fix, it may be wise to purchase them and store them. Some newer Harman stoves used a special potentiometer with a center detent to provide tactile feel for the off position on the stove/room temp knob.
This detent is not necessary as you can simply line up the dial indicator within the wide off position area as indicated on the stoves controls diagram, status light will go out and you will hear the stove begin to power down.

Hints about your Pellet Stove.
Did you know, quite often, some motors fail mechanically not electrically, and can be repaired inexpensively by replacing bearings.
If your auger is not working make sure your draft sensor switch is not open. To test, unplug unit from wall plug, disconnect the two wires going to the sensor switch and simply place a jumper across the two wires. Plug back in and try to run, if auger runs, your sensor switch is bad, the draft line to the sensor switch is plugged, or maybe the door is open, basically, you have lost the proper amount of draft to run the stove.
