William KLEIN. RÉTROSPECTIVE. A large, lavishly produced, photography book, produced to coincide with the William Klein Retrospective Exhibition at the Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris, 2005.
SIGNED, DATED and with a Hand Drawn HEART, by WILLIAM KLEIN, on the title page. His signature was signed twice, with two types of white paint pens, one signature overlapping the other. Clearly Klein did not like the first pen that he used. The date and hand drawn heart that he wrote and drew beneath his signature are with the same white paint pen that he used to resign over his original signature. The overlapping signatures cause his signature to be a bit blurry and a bit double-cool! (please see my photos)

Large Format HARDCOVER Book in DUSTJACKET, 10” x 13.5”, 380 pages. (Also published in a Softcover edition. The Hardcover first edition is very hard-to-find.) What little text there is, is in French.
Almost every page is a FULL PAGE PHOTOGRAPH by the Great Photographer WILLIAM KLEIN. Most are in b&w.
Condition: NEAR FINE book, tight, bright, clean and unmarked; in a VERY GOOD dustjacket that has a 1/2 inch tear and associated creasing at the bottom of the rear flap fold, a 1/2 inch tear at the top of the front flap fold, and some light edgewear and rubbing. A solid, lovely copy.
