This, riders, is the new BMW R100RS. And

Our unique, frame-mounted Integral Cockpit
Fairing, for example, was designed in the wind-
tunnel to be a functioning part of the total motor-
cycle. Not an afterthought. What results is a kind

below the covered headlight and continues up over
the parking light and windscreen. These surfaces

At the same time, the Integral Cockpit Fair-

very "slippery," aero-
dynamically-speaking.

make that engine even stronger, we've given it
larger valves. Brand new, super-efficient 40mm
Bing carburetors. A new crankcase housing. New
cylinder head design. The result? Mind-boggling
low and mid-range torque. And an indecent top end.

The top of the steenng head is
carefully padded for safety.
All instruments are matte black
so reflections won't
break your concentration.
