Description

You are bidding on an autographed program of the 1957 Pacific Coast League Champions San Francisco Seals. It is signed by 11 members of the team that was managed by Baseball Hall of Famer and Yankee great, Joe Gordon. This is the last year of the San Francisco Seals as the Giants would take over their Stadium before Candlestick Park opened up in 1960. The main autographs on this program are Frank Kellert, Haywood Sullivan and Glenn Wright. The Kellert signature is rare and desirable due to him being on the Brooklyn Dodgers 1955 Championship team. He passed away in 1976 making his autograph tough. His autograph can sell for close to 0. SF Seal's baseball team members who signed the program are: Frank Kellert (major leaguer, member of 1955 World Champion Dodgers, tough/rare signature), Tom Umphlett (major leaguer), Harry Malmberg (major leaguer), Marty Keough (major leaguer), Glenn Wright (major leaguer, signed G Wright, 1925 Pirates World Champion), Grady Hatton (major leaguer), Sal Taormina, Nini Tornay, Haywood Sullivan (major leaguer, General Manager of the Boston Red Sox, Red Sox HOFer), Ed Sadowski, (major leaguer) and Albie Pierson (major leaguer).
Nine former major league players signed this program. I am sure these are authentic autographs as you can compare them with their other signatures. I recently purchased parts of a collection that had some San Francisco Seals photos and programs. This autographed program was one of the items. I also have a Joe Gordon signed Seal's program that I want to keep. This program is scored. See photos for details and judge condition yourself. S
