    Here’s a very rare design 1940’s Papago basket that seldom comes for sale on ebay.These baskets are more harder to make than your traditional plate baskets.
    There’s some broken stitches on the sides as shown in the photos where you could easily glue it back together but it’s up to the new owner.There is also a missing stitch in the bottom and some natural staining inside bottom of the basket as shown in the photos but overall it’s in good condition for its age of almost 80 yrs.Pls examine the photos carefully for they are part of the description .
    This basket was given to a missionary by the Papago Indians back in the 1940’s.He took it back home with him to Laguna Beach,California after his mission work was over .It became available for sale at an estate sale a few months ago where the granddaughter of the missionary told me the story of this basket.
