    Description

Up for sale is a 1796 Liberty Cap large cent that was excavated at a colonial era cellar hole. This 1796 version appears to be a club pole variety. The edge is smooth and does not have writing around the rim.
The coin does have environmental corrosion which is normal for a dug example, but it still has retained very good detail.
