Written on the backside, is the official heading: “Timothy Fuller to Archulus Fuller - (?) on Record March 13th, 1751 - Recorded Libro 104 folio 106, & Examined - John Higginson”. Written and Printed on an 8.5” x 12” piece of laid watermarked paper. The document was folded several times to a small size, there are long splits along a few of the folds and the document is almost split into several parts, but is currently still hanging together. The document is age toned and has some age spotting, but the writing and printing all remains bright, clear and fully legible. An IMPORTANT early Document.
1765 Original Indenture - Printed and Handwritten - Signed by ANDREW FULLER, deeding property to ARCHELAUS FULLER and His Heirs in perpetuity. AN IMPORTANT EARLY DOCUMENT REGARDING THE FULLER FAMILY.

LOTS OF FULL NAMES of People who were paid various amounts to settle the Estate. Written on laid watermarked paper. The writing is bold, bright, clear and fully legible. The document has been folded several times, probably to fit into an envelope; it is splitting along the middle fold but still holding. The document is dated “Middleton April 13th, 1782” and is signed by HENRY INGALLS, BENJAMIN RUSSELL, and SAMUEL SYMONDS, “Committee Sworn”. Below their signatures is the statement: “Ipswich April 15th 1782. The afore written Return of the Committee being presented is accepted and allowed...” and the statement is signed by DANIEL NOYES, the Registrar and Court Copyist. The writing is bold, bright, clear and fully legible. The document has been folded several times, probably to fit into an envelope; it is splitting along much of the spine fold and the middle fold, but still holding. VERY IMPORTANT EARLY DOCUMENT relating to MANY LANDOWNERS in MIDDLETON, MASSACHUSETTS in 1782.

Single page, 8” x 12.5”. Handwritten on laid watermarked paper. 1823 Single-Fold Sheet of laid-paper, folded to make four 6.5” x 8” pages. Handwriting on the front and back of 1 page. A handwritten list of items such as “Kitchen Chairs”, “One Looking Glass”, “Copper Tea Kettle”, “3 Earthen Pots”, “Six Tea Spoons”, “Close Stool”, “17 pair of Sheets”, etc. An interesting look at the personal property of a well established woman of Middleton in 1823. The document is folded several times to a small size, there is some splitting at the folds, some age spotting, some toning, but still bright with writing that is clear and fully legible.
There are also a number of handwritten accounts and probate accountings in various small pieces, that appear either to be incomplete or need to be pieced together. One piece has the name “MATTHEW PATTEN - Judge of Probate”, there are various amounts to be paid to named individuals with payments in Pounds and Shillings / Silver. One piece has a date 1793, another 1781. One longer accounting sheet is partially taped together on the backside along the folds where the sheet has split.
What makes these handwritten deeds, documents and probate accountings so wonderful is that they are rich with the names of early residents of Middleton: “To JOHN ESTY for dividing Real Estate”, “To JOSEPH CLOUGH”, “EDWARD FETTYPLACE” (Captain in the American Revolutionary War), “SAMUEL FLAGG on Note of Hand”, “EDWARD PULLING”, “JOHN INGALLS”, and many, many other notable names from Revolutionary Era Massachusetts.
These RARE, IMPORTANT DOCUMENTS seem to have been kept by someone who was a Direct Descendent of the Fuller Family. There is a sheet of paper with recent handwriting titled “Fullers of Middleton” with some of the Fullers named along with brief information about them. Beside the name Benjamin and the info “5th son born in 1689” is written “OUR LINE”. There are also a few newspaper clippings related to FULLER and ESTY families, and a clipped name/address label for a “Mrs. Roger W. Etsy / Danvers, Massachusetts”, and a handwritten note from Mrs. Roger Etsy to “Dick” that ends with “Please Keep These”.
There is much about the early FULLER FAMILY of MIDDLETON, MASSACHUSETTS to be found on the Internet. Below is one snippet about ARCHELAUS FULLER:
******Middleton, local historian Lura Woodside Watkins in her book "Middleton, Massachusetts A Cultural History" cites the first step to independence was on August 17, 1774 when the town sent Captain Archelaus Fuller to Salem to make the plans to form the first provisional congress.
The Revolutionary war started April 19, 1775 for Middleton residents when eight volunteers responded to the alarm. They were Captain Archelaus Fuller, Captain Benjamin Gardner, Joseph Nichols, Sergent Benjamin Peabody, Corporal Elijah Wilkins, Corporal Aquilla Wilkins, Private Enos Wilkins and Private Israel Curtis. Lura Watkins estimated that about 125 residents of Middleton enlisted before the war ended.
