The Ringneck Pheasant is prized for not only their flavor but by sportsmen for their excellent flying ability. Considered to be one of the most common breed of pheasant, our cocks weigh in anywhere between two and a half to three pounds at around 22-weeks, with the hens averaging around two pounds. They are beautiful birds.
This listing is for a total of 12 hatching eggs.
Eggs are collected several times throughout the day and in order to preserve the eggs natural bloom, they will be mostly clean but unwashed. While we do our best to ship the highest quality of eggs, we cannot guarantee your ability to hatch them, nor can we guarantee a specific hatch rate. There is a risk involved when shipping eggs. We have no control over how the package is handled once it leaves our farm, or whether the eggs are stored properly while in transit, individualized incubator settings, etc.
Eggs will be no older than 3 days (oftentimes only 1-2 days). They are each individually wrapped in bubble wrap and packaged securely in every effort to minimize any movement and ensure a safe arrival. Packages are clearly marked as ∆ Eggs and Fragile ∆. If you would like anything else, please let us know. Also if you desire the package to be held at the Post Office, please include a telephone number in your request. Pleave feedback based on our packaging and/or any communication we may of had. Feedback should not be based on hatch rates as unfortunately, and as much as we would like, we cannot control that. It is of course our sincerest wish that every egg sent successfully hatches into a beautiful bird.
We have several incubators and operate them year round checking fertility. Our average hatch rate is anywhere between 85-90%. Hatch rates on shipped eggs are on average 35-50%; it can be more or less. Getting anything over 70%-75% on shipped eggs is Excellent.
